Year You Started Snowboarding: 2015 or so!
What Got You Into Snowboarding? My friends got me into it and then my dad got me pretty hyped on freestyle after he took me to the park for the first time and made me hit some boxes and a jump while following him.
How you got your first Snowboard? I bought my first board from a friend of mine, it was way too big for me and all banged up. He definitely did me dirty on that deal.
Make and model of your first board? It was some DC board, I can’t remember what it was though. The first proper one that fit me was a Nikita Side way sista 2014 model that Heida Birgisdottir herself gave me, not sure if she remembers me but this meant the world to me back then.
A time where you should have died but made it out unscathed? The day that I got my driver license a car drove into my side of the car and both cars got totalled.
A monumental Snowboarding moment that you’ll never forget? Probably my first time at DIYX, it was my first time being invited to a big event and DIYX is the sickest so that was a pretty big deal for me.
Best Contest Result: 1st place at the Vans Hi-Standard and also winning DIYX. It was a good year haha.
Go To Trick for rails and jumps? Good ol boardslide, because it’s satisfying. On jumps, probably fs 180 or 360 when it works out. Also because it just feels nice.
Least favorite trick? Fb pretzel because mine are ugly asf and Im about to dislocate a rib trynna get that thing around.
Favorite Video Part of All Time: Honestly I’m not sure, so many good ones out there so I don’t really have a favorite. Just depends on my mood at the time but any of Halldors will always get me pumped.
Biggest Inspiration: Coming from Iceland, Halldor and Eiki Helgason were my biggest inspirations in snowboarding when I started along with the local crew called Barfbags. And of course Ylfa Rúnarsdóttir! Now a days I get inspired by so many people, all the homies inspire me.
Steel or Powder? Steel but would definitely love to get into powder more.
Most Underrated Rider: Off the top of my head Juho Laine, Marko Malsub, Marten Kikas, Birkir Georgsson, Sara Sakkine, Sophia Scroll, Nata, Emma Lacarrere and yeah so many actually.
Dream Sponsor: Any car company would be beautiful but an energy drink company would do pretty good as well.
