The Longest Lap 2026 | Trollhaugen
THE LONGEST LAP @ TROLLHAUGEN | The Ultimate Battle of Rope Stamina | 01.09.2026
A few years ago, Trollhaugen set out to try and break a Guinness World Record at their tiny but mighty midwest hill. In the process of figuring out how the heck to do that, they accidentally created an event that became more exciting than the original goal, and the rest is history.
The first ever Longest Lap at Trollhaugen on January 9, 2026 was something special to witness. Riders spent 16.5hrs on Valhalla with nothing but Strava and a squad of highly dedicated lappers to see how many miles we could stack on the legendary Valhalla rope tow. A full pull to the 1000th power, open to close on a Late Night Friday from 10:00am to 2:30am. (Yes, seriously, Trollhaugen is open until 3am on Fridays).
Why on earth would anyone do this? Well, for the stats, for the fun, for science, and maybe, to start working on some new Guinness World Record categories. The future of The Longest Lap is bright. As for the inaugural event, the incredible winners are….
