How did you find Snowboarding? I started skiing at 2 but on a trip to Colorado my brother and cousin decided to rent snowboards and give it a try. Naturally, I had to do whatever my older brother was doing, and I never looked back. My parents started taking us up every weekend or we’d night ride at Brighton after school. I fell in love with the sport and haven’t looked back since.

Years snowboarding? 11 years

Best Contest Result? Favorite result is winning Bomb Hole Cup Park Showdown this year!

A moment that you’ll never forget? Montreal Red Bull Heavy Metal, there was a flat rail about 30 feet off the ground. I’ve never been that terrified. Right before I finally dropped in, about 10 of my biggest idols in street snowboarding were standing at the top and the level of support was overwhelming. Moments like that feel surreal getting to ride alongside the people you’ve always looked up to.

Favorite Snowboard Video? I loved the Burton Paved movie.

Biggest Inspiration? My biggest inspiration in snowboarding is getting to ride with Ozzy Henning everyday. If I could emulate even half of what he does on his warm-up lap or with a coffee cup in his hand I would have a pretty good day. I love being a perfectionist and trying a trick 50 times until I literally can’t do it any better.

What motivates you? My biggest motivator is knowing I have the opportunity to make a career out of something that genuinely makes me so happy. There isn’t a better feeling than waking up knowing you get to go snowboard.

What rider from the new generation is going to be the future of snowboarding? Katja Dutu, her rail riding is absolutely insane.

Most Underrated Rider? Hahna Norman because she absolutely deserves it, while also being truly one of the kindest people.

Favorite Old Head? Jeremy Jones

Best Style? Hailey Langland’s victory lap method on the third jump at Mammoth Rev Tour a few years back after she completely destroyed all of us, might be the single greatest trick I’ve ever watched live.

Most cooked homie? Probably all of us

Most talented rider? Zoi Synnott is the best all-around female snowboarder no question.

Sketchiest homie? SoCal riders at Bear Mountain in fur coats and boxers willing to try backflips for a beer.

Favorite filmer? Ted Borland, easy answer.

Who brings the best energy? Brantley Mullins and the entire women’s team at Nitro. I am yet to meet a single person who isn’t amazing. They’ve had such a strong influence on me in so many ways, both in snowboarding and in life.

Worst trick? A zeeched frontboard pretz

Steel or Powder? Currently…Steel

Dream Sponsor (Doesn’t Have to Be Snowboarding-Related): Red Bull and literally any company willing to give me free ice cream

Is there a time where you should have died but made it out unscathed? Or the sketchiest moment? I almost died when I was 6 and fell about 40 feet off a chairlift at Park City to my face and was life flighted. I walked away with a pretty good concussion and no major injuries, but people say it made me a little goofier and I had to relearn the alphabet which at the time felt like a big deal.

Worst Trend in Snowboarding: My hot take is I’m not a big fan of frontside swivels

Warm up or straight to business? 2-run warm-up.

When do you ride best? It doesn’t matter how shitty the day is, I ride my best when I can find joy in the little things. When I’m happy and excited just to be in the mountains, no matter the conditions. It’s easy to fall into a hollow-headed mindset. Once you get to that place tricks just feel easy

When do you ride your worst? When I overthink every trick. It’s so much easier to trust yourself and the work you’ve put in. Know that you’re capable.

Best and worst place to snowboard? The best place is Brighton night riding on a powder day. That might be my favorite thing. The worst place is probably Mammoth when it’s an absolute hurricane of a day with 50 mph winds and zero visibility.

Interests Outside of Snowboarding? Fluffy cows.. it was a lifelong mission of mine to see one in Switzerland (recently accomplished), Wake Surfing, most tv series and starting my first year of college in a nursing program

Best advice you ever received? Why go through the back door when the front door works just as well “earn it”

Words to Live By? Happiness is a choice.

Shout Outs: My mom and dad, all of my past coaches, Pops, Ozzy, Jacob, Nichole. My riding is definitely a collection of everyone who has supported me. Benny Pelgrino, thanks for giving me a chance.

Describe snowboarding in one word: Happiness
