10 Barrel Brewing’s ‘Beer Lodge’ presented by The Bomb Hole
Last winter, 10 Barrel Brewing posted up shop at a 10-bedroom lodge in McCall, Idaho; inviting athletes, cinematographers, media partners, friends, and friends of friends to enjoy all that the Idaho backcountry has to offer. After 40 days living at the Beer Lodge, the house became a home, and the backcountry became our backyard. In case you missed it, here’s what we had the luxury of occupying over the winter:
- An Indoor pool with a built-in stone grotto…could explain why we didn’t get our deposit back…
- Massive game room complete with pop-a-shot, pool table (mostly used for Crud – if you don’t know, you’ll soon find out), Big Buck Hunter, and a complete tuning station.
- An Outdoor hot tub next to its daunting little brother, the sub-freezing ice bath.
- Quick and easy transportation into downtown McCall (Compliments to the 2x2 UBCO bikes, not to mention the 50cc Dirt Bike completed with a small primate companion)
- Mandatory, 2-3 dogs at all times to fill your heart with love and your bed with fur
- A rotating door of athletes, friends, family, and characters to keep a little spice in the program.
Ice Fishing on Payette Lake, that normally provided for wet socks and a warm buzz
- 10 minute ride to the bottom of Brundage Mountain and just a tick farther to an untouched winter playland that only McCall’s snow mecca can provide.
Cheers to the Beer Lodge!
